The 11th Annual Ride for a Cure, held last Saturday in West Green, was a huge success with 55 registered participants.

Cyclists drove in from all over the state, not limited to, but including Waycross, Tifton, Savannah, Alma and Douglas.  Participants were able to choose from 10, 20, 40, 60 (Metric Century), or 100 (Century) mile rides.

At 8:00 a.m, cyclists set sail from the West Green Baptist Church en route to Broxton, Ambrose, Wray, Osierfield, and Snipesville, enjoying the southern countryside of Coffee County.  The route was mostly flat with a variety of rolling hills.  Upon completion, cyclists enjoyed a spaghetti dinner from Johnny's Pizza.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Relay for Life of Coffee County.  Danny McCarty, CRMC Wellness Center Director, and Rodney Ragsdale, Coffee High Technology Student Association Leader, would like to thank the student volunteers from CHS TSA for hosting each rest stop.

Contributors to the event included Johnny's Pizza, Wal-Mart Distribution, Coffee County Sherriff's Office, Ambrose and Broxton Police/Fire Departments, and CRMC Wellness Center for coordination of the event.

Danny would like to give a special thanks to Rodney Ragsdale for preparing all the routes for the event.  We look forward to seeing everyone for the 12th Annual Ride for a Cure.
