The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce along with a multitude of family and friends gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting and open house for Fitzgerald Family EyeCare. Dr. Ellen Drury Fitzgerald shared her sincere gratitude for all who encouraged and helped her along the way to this momentous occasion. Dr. Fitzgerald's husband, Clay and their two children, Aubree and Asher, stood by her side as she thanked everyone who had a part in supporting her from the conception of the facility to the final touches that make it the beautiful facility it is today. She expressed a special thank you to her patients who have entrusted their eyecare to her. Most importantly, Dr. Fitzgerald gave thanks to the Lord for leading her into the eyecare profession that she feels is her calling and ministry to serve others.
On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce/EDA, Interim President Lisa Hodge and Chairman Donny Bradshaw along with City Commissioner Cindy McNeill and Pastor Shep Johnson, congratulated Dr. Fitzgerald and thanked her for not only her investment in the community but also into the lives of others.
