The Douglas Mayor’s Youth Council traveled to Atlanta on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 to visit the State Capitol and meet with legislators. While at the capitol, the group met with State Representative Dominic LaRiccia of District 169 (Coffee County) and Representative John Corbett of District 174 (Lowndes County).
Representative LaRiccia and Representative Corbett gave the group a tour of their offices, capital building, monuments located on the grounds and treated the group to lunch. While touring, LaRiccia and Corbett explained their duties as legislators and answered questions from Youth Council members.
