Douglas Quality Meats celebrates grand opening, ribbon cutting

Douglas Quality Meats celebrated its grand opening and ribbon cutting on Friday morning, May 17, with a large gathering of friends, family and community leaders. Thomas Nipper shared with the group that he and his friend, David Ammons, decided to partner in opening the meat market after much prayer.

David then told the group that he had grown up in the business under his father's tutelage, Jerry Ammons, who had been a butcher for 50+ years. David now has 29 years of experience and his son, David Jr., is carrying on the legacy. With 12 years under his belt, David Jr. is already training his young son, Bentley.  

John Williams, Assistant Pastor of First Assembly of God; Commissioner Kentaiwon Durham; Chamber of Commerce reps, Executie VP, Lisa Hodge and Past Chamber Chairman, Stanley Lott, thanked Douglas Quality Meats for their initiative and investment in Douglas-Coffee County.
