In November, voters in Broxton and Douglas will go to the polls for city elections. Here are the seats that will be on the ballot as well as qualifying information.
The City of Broxton, Georgia shall hold the 2023 Municipal General Election on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 7 am – 7 pm at the Public Safety Center 100 Church Street, Broxton, GA. If necessary, a runoff will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
Qualifying for said election shall be held at the Coffee County Board of Elections & Registration Office located at 321 S. Pearl Ave., Douglas, GA beginning on Monday, August 21 through Friday, August 25 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
No cash will be accepted at the Elections Office — checks, cashier’s checks, or money orders only please.
Mayor – 4 year term $189
City Council 1 – 4 year term $117
City Council 2 – 4 year term $117
City Council 3 – 4 year term $117
City Council 4 – 4 year term $117
Candidates for these positions must meet the requirements as set forth in the Charter of the City of Broxton.
The last day to register to vote in the 2023 Municipal General Election and Runoff is October 10, 2023. City of Douglas residents may register to vote at the Coffee County Board of Elections & Registration Office during normal business hours (8:00 am to 5 pm daily). Residents may also choose to submit their registration by mail or by registering to vote online at https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov.
The first day to vote early in the 2023 Municipal General Election is October 16, 2023, and continues daily (Monday – Saturday) until November 3, 2023.
