Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 3, Douglas Mayor James Dennis signed a proclamation designating Thursday, the 12th of February, as Kiwanis International Day, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Kiwanis International.
A number of members of the Douglas Kiwanis Club were on hand for the signing.
In other Kiwanis news, Doug Wasden, First Academy Headmaster, was the speaker at the Douglas Kiwanis Club meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Flyin’ Cowboy restaurant. He gave a short presentation about being a game change, then explained the mission and goals of the First Baptist Academy.
