Marie Carter

Marie Carter, 77, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Bacon County Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Carter was born on April 18, 1937, in Douglas, GA to the late Marvin Lott and Lucreasie Lankford.

Survivors include: two daughters: Christi Garcia of Douglas, GA and Deborah Marie Ravenell of Douglas, GA; grandson: Eddie Garcia of Douglas, GA; brother: Cleon Lott of Douglas, GA; sister: Martha Ann Brown of Manor, GA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Hugh Dorsey Carter, a daughter: Terry Lynn Daggan, granddaughter: Maria Christine Carter, and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Wilsonville Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Fred Morgan and Rev. Charles Brown officiating. Music is furnished for the service by Dana David Hobbs “Sweet Peace” with Karla Porter playing the piano. Active Pallbearers are: Donald Lott, Robert Lott, Bobby Lott, Chad Lott, Kenneth Lott, Bryant Lott, and Jerry Lott. Interment will follow at Roxie Mae Church Cemetery.
