Dorothy L. “Patsy” Burnam, age 86, of West Green, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in Melbourne, Florida. Mrs. Burnam was born on September 13, 1933 in Newberry, Florida the daughter to the late Albert and Giroude Davis Tanner.

 

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Arlie Burnam, her beloved son, Tony “Kool” Burnam and a grandson, Josh Burnam.

 

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Anne Sivertson (husband Paul) and Martha Jane Peterman, her son, Larry Burnam (wife Joni), daughter-in-law, Vicki Lewis; Patsy was blessed with seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, Kristel Tyre, Jason Burnam, Korey Burnam (wife Ashley), Jake Peterman (wife Brooke), Matthew Gerrard Burnam, Savannah Lee Duncan and Abby Duncan; great-grands include, Alex Riner, Roman Tyer, Bella Tyer, Trystan and Willow Burnam, Hayes and Drew Peterman.

 

Patsy has three living siblings, Joanne Waldron, Bobby Tanner and Gene Tanner. She is preceded in death by five siblings, Betty Ford, Katie King, Norman Tanner Jr, Sandy Tanner and Claude Tanner.

 

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 10:00am at Douglas City Cemetery.

 

Sims Funeral Home, Douglas is in charge of arrangements.

 

In lieu of flowers the family asks you to plant a flower in your yard and name it Patsy.

 

Those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guideline concerns the coronavirus.
