Ms. Sandra Lee Stone Pierce, age 78 of Douglas, passed away early Thursday morning August 6, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Ms. Pierce was born May 19, 1942 to the late James Garfield Stone and the late Agnes Mae Easterling Stone. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, James Stone, Lon Robert Stone, Dorothy Mae Kinder and Wanda Darlene Mossage, and three grandchildren, Donnie Ray Tanner, Jr., Charles Troy Tanner and Cindy Marie Bounds.

Ms. Pierce, a native of East Bank, WV, had lived in the Douglas area for many years. She was a retired clerk with Walmart. Ms. Pierce attended First Assembly of God in Douglas.

Survivors include: Children Robert A. Young, Jr. and wife Jackie of Broxton, GA, Roberta Mae Creecy and husband Danny of Douglas, GA, Howard Scott Young and wife Kim of Rome, PA, Janet Katherine Ward Solomon and husband Ronnie of Broxton, GA, and Patsy I. Young of Ellaville, GA; sister Margie Ann Redman of Clarksville, PA; brother Steven Stone of Oceana, WV; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The graveside service and interment will be held Saturday afternoon, August 8, 2020 at 1:30 PM at Broxton Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Marshall Adcock officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning August 8, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers for the service will be: Scotty Young, James Young, Kevin Turknett, Logan Burkett, Ken Worth and Kip Klusman

Please note that due to restrictions of attendance and six feet social distancing being placed on funeral service attendees by the CDC and the State of Georgia concerning the containment of COVID-19, please observe their guidelines. Please wear you mask to visitation and to the service.
