Lattie R. Greene, age 87, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Thursday November 19, 2020. Mrs. Greene was born on December 8, 1932 in Punta Gorda, Florida, the daughter of the late Albert William Raymond and Rebecca Lyon Raymond.

 

Mrs. Greene was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Douglas, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Myles Greene.

 

Survivors include daughter, Grace Greene Cunningham (John) of Douglas, GA; three sons, Mike Greene (Jackie) of Broxton, GA, Bill Greene (Beth) of Broxton, GA and Tommy Greene (Julie) of Broxton, GA; sister, Becky Carelock of Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren, Becky Greene, Maggie Medders (David), Kelly Tam (Scott), Amy Murray (Kelly), Sarah Anderson (Drew), Jacob Greene, Jack Cunningham (Ali), Hannah Phillips (Brandon), Will Greene (Nicole) and Vanessa Sapp (Blake); a number of great grandchildren; two nieces, Kathy Conners and Katie Pfeifer; special friends, Lillie Littleton and Ruby Sirmans.

 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday November 22, 2020 at 3:00pm at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Benji Varnell, Rev. Walt DeLoach and Rev. James Sapp officiating. A private family interment will be at a later date. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be the Whitfield Sunday School Class and her loving caregivers.

 

The family will receive friends Sunday November 22, 2020 from 2pm until 3pm at First United Methodist Church prior to the service.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Douglas First United Methodist Church or Bethany Hospice.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
