Mrs. Leola Gertrude Wooten Harrison, age 81 of Nicholls, GA passed away Monday afternoon, February 15, 2021 at Vista Park in Douglas, GA following an extended illness. Mrs. Harrison was born December 28, 1939 to the late Knivelton Brison Wooten, Sr. and the late Josie Carver Wooten and her stepmother, Lucille S. Wooten. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Greg Lee Harrison and siblings Carlos Eugene Wooten, Larry Wooten, Josie Alice Meland, Jimmy Wooten and Beulah Mae Wooten.

Mrs. Harrison, a native of Broxton, GA, had been a supervisor at Sunbelt for over 18 years. Her church affiliation was with Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include:

Children: Gloria Lane H. Caves of Broxton, GA
Leon Frederick Harrison of Nicholls, GA
Sheila Ann H. Harrell of Douglas, GA
Olan Fredrick “Freddy” Harrison, Jr. of Broxton, GA

Sisters: Priscilla Harrison of Sparks, Ga
June Wynell Davis of Adel, GA
Betty Elizabeth Harrell of Eustis, FL
Mamie Edna Lamb of Adel, GA
Mary Ann Coleman of Hollister, FL
Mary Lucille Knight and Winnie Mae Hutto both of Broxton, GA

Brothers: Knivelton Brison Wooten, Jr. of Forest Park, GA
Jerry Wooten, Quitman Wooten and Richard Leon Wooten all of Broxton, GA

Numerous friends and other relatives also survive.

The graveside service and interment will be Saturday afternoon February 20, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Jeff Davis County with Bro. Adreion Harrison officiating and Keith Rocky Harper presenting a eulogy.

The family will receive friends and family members, on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel.

Active pallbearers for the service will be: Rusty Harper, Daniel McElhaney, Kelvin Harper, Brandon Caves, Cory Caves, Ryan Harrison and Creed Worth.

Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the graveside service and interment. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
