Mr. Rene Gonzalez Lopez, age 30, of Willacoochee, passed away, Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Douglas, Ga.

 

Survivors include:  

 

Mother:  Rosa Lopez of Willacoochee, Ga.

 

Wife:  Whitney Lopez of Pearson, Ga.

 

Son:  Christian Rene Lopez of Pearson, Ga.

 

Brothers:  Lupe Lopez and wife, Gabrielle of Axson, Ga.

Cody Hoag of Mesa, Az.

Juan Gonzalez of Grand Rapids, MI.

 

Sisters:  Rosamaria Ruelas and husband, Daniel of Ocilla, Ga.

Christina Kirkland and husband, Blain of Willacoochee, Ga.

Alejandra Diaz of Willacoochee, Ga.

 

10 nieces:  Isabella Holt, Vera Holt, Savannah Gurley, Madison Gurley, Evalynn Rosales, Chloe Ruelas, Floressa Ruelas, Avalyn Lopez, Lilliana Kirkland, and Ella Lopez

 

Five nephews:  Brayden Lopez, Zayden Lopez, Max Ruelas, Richard Blain Kirkland III, and Payton Gurley

 

Several other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral mass for Mr. Lopez will be held, Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Douglas, Ga., with Father Paul O’Connell officiating.  The interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery.

 

Visitation for Mr. Lopez will be held, Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. 

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.  

 

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson is in charge of the arrangements.
