Mrs. Melissa Kaye “Sissy” Whitley Rogers, age 51 of Douglas, passed away Tuesday morning, March 16, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Rogers was born July 10, 1969 to the late Patrick Lamar Kirkland and the late Margaret Ann Whitley Kirkland.

Mrs. Rogers, a native of Douglas, GA was a homemaker.

Survivors include:

Husband: Ethan Ladell Rogers, Sr. of Douglas, GA

Children: Christopher Matthew Rogers and wife Sarah of Douglas, GA
Ethan Ladell Rogers, Jr. of Douglas, GA

Sisters: Rhonda Pease and husband Roger of Douglas, GA
Misty Rowell of Knoxville, TN
Kelly Oliver and husband Quinton of Collins, GA

Step-daughter: Jessica Hutto and husband Shaun of Glennville, GA

Step-son: Dustin Rogers of Metter, GA

12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren

Nephews: Aaron Pease and Patrick Pease of Douglas, GA

Nieces: Page and Taylor Oliver of Collins, GA

Aunt and uncle: Linda Shepard Grey of Knoxville, TN
Larry Whitley of Douglas, GA

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, March 17, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Due to COVID-19 all attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the visitation. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
