Johnnie W. Royals Sr, age 74, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Royals was born on December 15, 1946 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Joel William & Alma Morgan Royals.

 

Mr. Royals was a self-employed carpenter/painter and was a member of Jowers Chapel Holiness Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Royals of Douglas, GA; 2 sons, Robert Royals (Vivian) of Douglas, GA and, Johnnie Royals Jr (Jessica) of Douglas, GA; daughter, Cynthia Ann White (Stuart) of Douglas, GA; 3 sisters, Christine Lott of West Green, GA, Peggy Taylor of Douglas, GA and, Rosa Lee Williams of Douglas, GA; 4 step-grandchildren, Teresa Cole, Bill Cole, Pricilla Cole and, J.J. Cole; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery (Atkinson County) with Rev. Jamie Rivera officiating.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.
