A 2 a.m. traffic stop for an out headlight resulted in an arrest on two active warrants for entering an auto.
According to a report from the Douglas Police Department, at 1:54 a.m. on the morning of December 16, 2025, a DPD officer conducted a traffic stop at the corner of Baker Highway and Columbia Avenue. A passenger in the vehicle, a beige 2008 Ford Edge, identified as Trevontae Dashun Dennis, 18, had two active warrants through the sheriff’s office for entering an auto or other motor vehicle with intent to commit theft or felony.
Dennis was arrested on the two active warrants. He was transported to the Coffee County Jail and released on two $5,500 property bonds.
