Mr. Gary Wayne Smith, age 60, of Douglas, Ga., passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014, from injuries
received in a traffic accident. Mr. Smith was born on June 23, 1953, in Jacksonville, Fl. to the late Oliver Emmitt Smith, Jr. and Mary Miller Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his two daughters: Shantae (Norman) Dockery of Broxton, Ga. and Jackie (Kevin) Jenks of Nicholls, Ga.; two grandchildren: Callie Dockery and Zachary Wilkins ; two brothers: Emmitt Smith of Savannah, Ga. and Jerry Miller of Melbourne, Fl.; a very Special Friend: Sherry Horton of Douglas, Ga.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Methodist Church with the Rev. Rob Merritt officiating.
Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
