Betty Sue Flanders Baker, age 74 of Pearson, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Baker was born July 10, 1940, in Pearson to the late Colonel Washington Flanders and Viola Odessa Crozier Flanders.

Survivors include her two sons, Randy (Terry) Hulsey of Ocilla and Al Wayne (Benita) Hulsey of Douglas; two stepdaughters, Debbie (Tim) Brown of Niceville, FL and Susie (Jim) Longman of Crestview, FL; brother-in-law, Archie Hodge; two sisters-in-law, Sue Pharr Flanders and Evelyn Caves Flanders; six grandchildren, Brandon (Kathy) Hulsey, Candice (Josh) Hood, Rebecca (Max) Bache, Jody Ray (Megan) Hulsey, Kaycee Gilliard, and Hannah Suzann Hulsey; eight step grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, special caregiver, Leona Tukes, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Baker, and former husband, Carl Albert Hulsey, two brothers; Thomas Flanders and Jimmy Ray Flanders; and a sister, Timmie Lee Flanders Hodge.

Visitation was held Monday, July 14, 2014, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 4 p.m. at Mora Baptist Church, with Rev. Bobby Fussell and Rev. Dennis Harper officiating. Interment followed at Arna Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
