Mrs. Vassie Mae Williams Bryant Pringle , age 86 of Douglas, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014, at Shady Acres Convalescent Center following an extended illness. She was born June 13, 1928, in Alma to the late Grover Addicus Williams and Addie Belle Dean Williams.

She is survived by two daughters, Emma Jean (Wayne) Davis and Naomi (Gene) Waldron, both of Douglas; three sons, Larry Bryant and Eulice (Virginia) Bryant both of Jacksonville, FL, Lamar (Peggy) Bryant of Douglas; twenty-two grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two children, Herbert Ray Bryant and Addie Elizabeth Bryant Whittaker and her husbands, Emory Lee Bryant and Chris Martin Pringle.

Visitation for Mrs. Pringle was held Sunday, July 27, 2014.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 28, 2014, at Harvest Time Church of God, with the Rev. Matt Cason officiating. Interment followed at Rose Hill Cemetery in Alma. Music was furnished for the service by Susan Cason, “I’ve Got Moore To Go To Heaven For,”  “Beulah Land,” and “He Touched Me,” with Susan Cason playing the piano.

Active pallbearers were Robert Davis, Ricky Davis, Lee Gene Waldron, Kane Waldron, Levi Rish, and Cullin Bryant.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
