Board members and employees of the Coffee County Child Advocacy Center/Sadie’s House welcomed representatives from law enforcement, city and county government, and others Thursday with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house in celebration of the center’s grand opening at its new location at 617 E. Ward Street.

The Child Advocacy Center provides various services to children, their families, and the community. Its primary mission is that every child who has alleged some type of abuse has services available to them by professionals who have specialized training and resources within the community to help them and their non-offending caregivers with the ability to cope and provide the support they need to rebuild their lives.

They provide victim’s representation, forensic interviewing, rape crisis intervention, and referral services to counseling agencies, as well as other resources that are available.

If you would like to volunteer or help on the various committees they have, please visit them in person or at https://www.facebook.com/ChildAdvocacyCenterofCoffeeCounty?fref=ts.
