On September 8, author and storyteller Carmen Agra Deedy visited West Green Elementary.

Students in kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as their teachers, were mesmerized as Mrs. Deedy told them stories based on her life experiences and talked to them about how she gets her ideas for her books.  Mrs. Deedy made many of the stories interactive with the children doing motions to act out the story.  Mrs. Deedy also included sound effects as she told her stories, which enthralled the children.

Everyone had a wonderful time and is looking forward to having Mrs. Deedy return in the future.
