Congratulations to Aly Ivey for winning the fund raiser drawing for Reading for Education at Eastside Elementary School. Aly is a Pre-K student in Mrs. Beverly Barbaree and Ms. Shavette Owens’ class. She is all smiles as she is presented the grand prize of a Joe bot by Eastside Principal Michael Davis.

Since 1981, Reading for Education has helped schools from all 50 states raise millions of dollars with their unique and safe fundraising programs. Reading for Education (RFE) is the quickest and easiest way for schools to earn money. RFE is simple, no-risk, and hassle-free.  It’s also safe for students because there is no door-to-door selling, no collection of money and no delivery of products. The school is guaranteed to succeed. Schools are paid exclusively on the number of students who participate. Schools earn $5.50 for each participating student. More students helping equals more money earned. RFE also provides free student prizes and teacher appreciation gifts to make the program fun and successful.

Shown in the photo is Principal Davis presenting Aly Ivey with the special Joe bot prize from RFE she received for participation in the recent fund raiser. Eastside Elementary would like to say a special “thank you” to parents, guardians, grandparents and those in our community who help to support the first school-wide fund raiser.
