A telemedicine demonstration was held at the Broxton-Mary Hayes Elementary School PTO meeting Thursday night, October 16.

Amy Beach, LPN, Telemedicine Coordinator, and Sandra SImmons, LPN, School Nurse, were on hand to demonstrate a telemedicine exam and answer questions. Telemedicine is the use of telecommunications and information technologies to connect patients and doctors regardless of their physical locations.

Every school clinic is equipped with a telemedicine unit giving students and staff access to primary and specialty care without having to leave their campus.

For more information or to enroll a student in the program, contact a school nurse or visit the school wesite at http://www.coffee.k12.ga.us.
