Jovante’ Spivey has been named the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association’s Division I Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 10-16.

Spivey, a 6’0″ sophomore from Savannah, Ga., averaged 21.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, four assists, and 2.7 steals for South Georgia State College last week, which included games against Faith Baptist Prep Academy, Daytona Basketball Academy, and Tallahassee Community College.

The Hawks (6-1) defeated Brewton-Parker College’s junior varsity team Tuesday night, 108-72.  They return home Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. to begin a four-game homestand against the College of Central Florida.
