A Douglas man was arrested and jailed last week on two counts of endangering a child after authorities say he was driving under the influence of alcohol with two minors in his vehicle.
Law enforcement initiated a traffic stop on 33-year-old Jamie Evans Thomas on Nov. 21 just after 6 a.m. on U.S. Hwy. 441 S. in the area of Covenant Church for a minor traffic infraction.
Following an investigation, authorities determined Thomas was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested at the scene for DUI, two counts of endangering a child while driving under the influence, driving in possession of an open containter of alcohol, driving while license suspended, and headlight requirements.
