Cadwin O’Steen, age 90, of Alma, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Bacon County Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. O’Steen was born on February 22, 1924, in Broxton, GA to the late Leonard Monroe Mobley and Hortense Wilcox Mobley.

Survivors include: her daughter, Karen (Guy) Smith of Broxton, GA; son, Robert (Willene) O’Steen of West Green, GA; sister, Elnora (Elias) Lott of Douglas, GA; two brothers, Marvin “Buddy” Mobley of Waycross, GA and Marcus (Joanne) Mobley of West Green, GA; five grandchildren, Dawn (Trey) Shipp of Atlanta, GA, Jan (Jimmy) Scott of Hazlehurst, GA, Ronald Grantham of Douglas, GA; Jonathan (Emily) O’Steen of Meansville, GA, and Justin (Ashley) O’Steen of Meansville, GA; twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee O’Steen.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at West Green United Methodist Church with Dr. Carl McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Wilcox Cemetery. Music is furnished for the service by Dr. Carl McDonald with Pat McDonald playing the piano. Active Pallbearers are: Ben Shipp, Jarod Scott, Ben Scott, Jonathan O’Steen, R.E. Grantham, and Justin O’Steen. Honorary Pallbearers are: Church Members and all attendees.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
