Dr. John Egolf, age 92, of Broxton, GA passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at his residence following an extended illness. Dr. Egolf was born on April 23, 1922 in Kamsack, Canada to the late Ezra Egolf and Lily Agnus Roberts Egolf.

Survivors include: his daughter, Lisa Egolf (Ronald) Stevens of Broxton, GA; four sons, George Lawrence (Valentina) Egolf of Warner Robins, GA, John Mark (Patsy) Egolf of Ray City, GA, John Glen Egolf of DeBary, FL, and John Barry (Barbara) Egolf of Orlando, FL; brother, Chris Egolf of Vancouver, British Columbia, two sisters, Lillian Egolf Earl of Somerset, CA and Dot Egolf McLaughlin of Seattle, WA; two grandchildren, Justin Ashley Stevens of Douglas, GA and Brittany Stevens Mobley of West Green, GA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Egolf.

Graveside Services were held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Satilla Memorial Gardens with Elder James Williamson and Elder John Drew officiating. Music was furnished for the service by CD “Shall We Gather At The River”. Active Pallbearers were: Brandon Mobley, Kenny Musgrove, Barry Egolf, Mark Egolf, Justin Stevens, and Michael Arnold.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
