The City of Douglas Public Information Department and Coffee County Historical Society held a drawing on Friday, Dec. 12, for a gift basket in recognition of a week-long celebration for the Ashley Slater House Centennial.

Citizens were encouraged to drop by the Douglas Visitor Information Center to answer daily trivia questions to receive a commemorative ornament and to register for the gift basket drawing that was held on Friday.  Guests who attended the ribbon cutting of the Visitor Information Center and who attended the Night of Living History were also encouraged to register.

The gift basket contained Georgia Grown products and commemorative items for the centennial celebration.  Special thanks to everyone who attended the centennial events and to the Coffee County Historical Society for their support.
