Mr. Michael Wayne Hobbs, age 45, of Jefferson, GA passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Broxton, GA. Mr. Hobbs was born on February 28, 1969 in Riverside, CA to the late Curtis Wayne Hobbs and Janice Annette Joyner Hobbs.

Survivors include: his wife, Kimberly Killingworth Hobbs of Valdosta, GA; daughter, Sara Elizabeth Hobbs of Valdosta, GA; sister, Patricia Annette Morris of Hahira, GA; two brothers, Curtis Eugene Hobbs of Broxton, GA; and Joseph Lynton Hobbs of Atlanta, GA; six nieces and nephews, Jason Wayne Hobbs, Kimberly Annette Kennedy, Brooklyn Faith Reeder, C. J. Hobbs, Janice Hobbs, Lilly Hobbs, Daniel Hobbs and Ramie Hobbs; and several aunts, uncles and cousions.

The Hobbs family will receive friends, neighbors and loved ones Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.

Mr/ Hobbs will lie in state at Covenant Church on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 1:00 PM until hour of funeral service at 2:00 PM with the Pastor Gregory Pope, and Rev. Dan Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the The Potter’s House, 655 Potter’s House Road, Jefferson, GA 30549.

Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
