A new docent, Kelly Hoomes, has joined the World War II Flight Training Museum.  Kelly is certified by the National Association of Interpretation as an interpretive guide and interpretive planner.  She also possesses historic aviation knowledge that she gained while working at the Wright Brothers National Memorial at the Museum of Alabama in Montgomery.

Kelly is experienced in education programs and tour development, and her primary goal is to provide a meaningful and positive tour for our Museum visitors.

The base and museum is one of the most intact World War II Army Air Corps flying schools in the country and houses many World War II artifacts related to airplanes and flying. The museum is open Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located on Airport Circle off S. Peterson Ave.

Call (912) 383-9111 for more information.
