Allie Mildred Taylor, age 89, of Douglas, GA passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Taylor was born on May 2, 1925, in Broxton, GA to the late Owen Melton and Leona White Melton.
Survivors include: her three daughters, Gail (Joe) White of Nicholls, GA, Deborah (Howard) Carter of Douglas, GA and Pam (Mike) Wells of Douglas, GA; three sons, Bobby Taylor of Douglas, GA, Billy (Nell) Taylor of Douglas, GA, and Dennis (Beuleatha) Taylor of Douglas, GA; daughter-in-law, Deborah Taylor of Valdosta, GA; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren; brother; Earl Melton of Brunswick, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Leona Melton; her husband, Elvin Lee Taylor; and four children, Leona Ann Tanner, Ronnie Lee Taylor, James Warren Taylor, and Roy Lee Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at New Life Christian Worship Center with Rev. Victor Gilbert and Rev. Hilton Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.
