Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and the City of Douglas Police Department will offer a handgun safety course for women on Saturday, March 14, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The course will cover firearms safety procedures, Georgia firearms laws, methods of safe carry and storage and proper loading and unloading.
The cost of the course is $25, and the deadline for registering is March 10.
