Terry Benton, age 61, of Georgetown, GA passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in Columbus, GA at Gentiva Hospice following an extended illness. Mr. Benton was born, September 13, 1953, in Douglas, GA to Evelyn Pearl Pharis Benton and the late Edd Benton, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa G. Benton of Georgetown, GA; Mother, Evelyn P. Benton of Douglas, GA; and sister, Gloria P Luke (Wesley) of Valdosta, GA; two step-children, Michelle Cook (Dale) of Valdosta, GA, and Joseph Mills of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Daphnie Foster, Shelby Foster and Donnie Foster all of Valdosta, GA; Neice, Julie Wiley and nephew, Jarrett Luke both of Nashville, GA; two great neices, Karla and Kayla Wiley.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday , February 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Miller and Rev. Clyde Stokes officating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.
