Lucille Wooten, age 84, of Broxton, GA passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Wooten was born on December 3, 1930, in Jeff Davis County, GA to the late Leon Charlton Burkhalter and Phoebe Stapleton Burkhalter.

Survivors include: her three daughters, Mary Ann Darden of Hollister, FL, Mary (Punkin) Kight of Broxton, GA, and Winnie (Jimbo) Hutto of Broxton, GA; six stepdaughters, Priscilla (ML) Harrison of Sparks, GA, June Smiley (Clifford) Davis of Adel, GA, Gertrude (Olan) Harrison of Douglas, GA, Betty Harrell of Eustis, FL, Mamie Lamb of Adel, GA, and Alice Edenfield of Ft. Myers, FL; four sons, Jimmy (Shirley) Wooten of Broxton, GA, Jerry (Jane) Wooten of Denton, GA, Quitman (Debbie) Wooten of Broxton, GA, and Richard (Brenda) Wooten of Broxton, GA; two stepsons, Carlos (Mary) Wooten of Lithia Spring, GA and K.B. (Sarah) Wooten, Jr. of Locus Grove, GA; sister, Margaret Grantham of Lumber City, GA; special care giver, Angela Deen; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, K.B. Wooten, Sr., daughter, Beulah Mae Wooten; son, Larry Wooten; brother, Buddy Stapleton; and two sisters, Lennie Morris and Ethel Livingston.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Pridgen Baptist Church with Rev. Morgan Harrison, Rev. Frank Vaughn, and Rev. Kennon Fennell officiating. Interment will follow at Pridgen Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
