Douglas author Don Griffin’s new book, based on the biblical principles of a successful life and marriage, has earned him a top spot as the latest best-selling author on Amazon.

Don says he has a great life and a great marriage and now has a book that teaches others how they can have the same if they are willing to live according to the wisdom of scripture.

Great Life, Great Marriage quickly achieved best-selling status on the first day of its release, ranking number three on the Amazon Best Sellers List for both the Marriage and the Christian Marriage categories, and number nineteen in the Marriage and Adult Relationships category.

In spite of the popularity, Don says this is not the typical self-help book. “This is not a book about one giant leap for mankind, seven steps to better relationships, or ten steps to financial success,” he explains. “This book is about understanding how the Kingdom of God operates and gaining the knowledge necessary to be successful in every area of your life.”

The book also deals with the issue of marriage, divorce, and separation from a biblical point of view, offering hope to millions of people who come from broken marriages and broken homes.

“Divorce is not God’s best plan for anyone but, at the same time, it is not the unpardonable sin,” Don says. “If you are the father or mother of a blended family, God wants you to know that your best years are still in front of you. Is your situation easy? No, but neither is it impossible.”

Don shares his wisdom in a simple, direct way and makes love the most important ingredient. “God wants His unconditional love to become a reality in your heart because He wants all of His children to enjoy a great life that is inclusive of an ever-increasing, fun and wonderful marriage,” Don says. “Does this mean that all you have to do is push a button and, presto, everything changes? No, that is not the way His Kingdom operates. But as you receive more and more of His truth, knowledge, and understanding into your mind and heart, His best will become an overflowing river of abundance that will invigorate your soul and begin saturating every area of your life.”

Don was born in a small town in southern Georgia to parents who taught him the value of the Bible, prayer, and church attendance. As a young man, he served in the Air Force, became a successful farmer, and attended a small church with his wife and three sons. Everything seemed to be going great; but at the age of thirty-three, Don lost his marriage, his family, and his business. “Tough times can either build you up, or tear you down,” he says.

Sufficiently heartbroken and humbled, Don rededicated his life to Christ and began the painstaking work of rebuilding his life on Kingdom principles. He eventually married Penny and started over. Then, with a lot of prayer, help and hard work, they built a successful insurance agency together. This year, Don and Penny Griffin will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary – proving that nothing is impossible with God.

“I didn’t have enough sense to get in out of the rain, but God took a super mess that I was in and turned it around,” Don says. “He can do the same for you, too. Everything won’t be perfect, and you’ll always have challenges. But as you begin to discover who you are in Christ, things will get better a lot quicker – marriage, finances, health, everything. God wants to complete you in every area, and not leave you short in any area.”

Great Life, Great Marriage by Don Griffin is published by Laurus Books and is available in paperback and eBook versions. To learn more visit DonAndPenny.com.
