The first annual First Academy Show and Sell, which will include a dinner, silent auction, and live auction, will be held Thursday, April 16 at First Baptist Church of Douglas.  The theme for this year’s event is ‘Blue Jeans, Boots, and BBQ.’

Doug Wasden, headmaster of First Academy, said, “We have plans to make this a huge event every year in Coffee County.”

The event has built excitement, as businesses and individuals have donated over 200 items to auction and almost 250 tickets have sold so far.

“We have more items coming in every day and ticket sales are ongoing”, said Wasden, who anticipates having over 400 in attendance.

Tickets are $20 for an individual or $160 for a table of eight people.  If parents need childcare, it will be provided for $5 per child. Call (912) 720-5961 to purchase tickets or donate items for the auction.

Go to the First Academy Show and Sell Facebook page to view the items for auction, which include hunting trips, spa packages, sports memorabilia, Yeti coolers, golf, jewelry, Atlanta attraction tickets, a set of braces, vacations, sports tickets, and a Richard Petty Driving Experience.
