Mary Jeanette Deaton, age 75, of West Green, GA passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at Appling Healthcare Pavilion following an extended illness. Mrs. Deaton was born on August 7, 1939, in Atkinson County, GA to the late Steve Corbitt and Mary Grace Wright Corbitt.

Survivors include: her four daughters, Sharon (Mikey) Dyal of Baxley, GA, Fran (Harvey) Corbitt of Nicholls, GA, Karen Deaton of West Green, GA and Peggy (Stanley) O’Steen of Douglas, GA; son, Darrell (Sue) Deaton of West Green, GA; six sisters, Fannie Ruth Waters of Baxley, GA, Betty Lott of Broxton, GA, Angela Christopher of Pearson, GA, Glenda Corbitt of Douglas, GA, Gail Kirkland of Douglas, GA, and Linda Batten of Douglas, GA; brother, Wendell Corbitt of Douglas, GA; twelve grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lovett Deaton; a sister, Ivey Corbitt; and four brothers, Mitch Corbitt, Steve D. Corbitt, Jimmy Corbitt, and James Corbitt.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral with Rev. Kevin Bounds officiating. Interment will follow at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
