Ray Courson, age 72, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015, at Mayo Clinic following an extended illness. Mr. Courson was born on March 7, 1943, in Waycross, GA to the late Quincy Courson and Marilyn Bagley Courson.

Survivors include: his wife, Jeffie Ann Courson of Douglas, GA; four sons, Kelly (Sandra) Courson of Waycross, GA, Kenny Courson of Douglas, GA, James (Lynn) Reliford of Fitzgerald, GA, and Benjamin (Tenise) Reliford of Douglas, GA; three daughters, Debbie (Charles) Persell of Glenville, GA, Debra (David) Reliford of Douglas, GA, and Kayla Reliford of Douglas, GA; twenty-three grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three brothers, Don Courson, Cecil Courson, and Lavelle Courson all of Waycross, GA; sister, Paulette Courson of Waycross, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Youngblood, Rev. Scott Smith, and Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Interment will followed at Live Oak Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
