Know of any college students coming home for the summer? Wiregrass is offering a slate of core classes this summer to help those coming home from other colleges catch up or get ahead.  Students can take advantage of Wiregrass’s low tuition, just $89 per credit hour, and small class sizes as well as varying class delivery options.

Classes are being offered online or face-to-face.  These degree level core courses are part of a statewide articulation agreement between the University System of Georgia and the Technical College System of Georgia. Some of the classes offered on the Ben Hill-Irwin campus are Anatomy and Physiology 1, Principles of Economics, College Algebra, U.S. History 1 and 2, Sociology, and American Literature.

For a complete list of courses offered, visit the college website at wiregrass.edu.

“This is an excellent opportunity for students who are coming home for the summer or even those who have just graduated and want to get some hard courses out of the way, “ shared Angela Hobby, Vice President of Enrollment Management. “Our admissions, financial aid and registrar’s offices will be glad to help any student get the paperwork needed so they can transition to Wiregrass and, once the semester is finished, transfer those earned credits to their home college this fall.”

Summer Semester classes start May 18, and registration ends May 3.  For more information, please call (912) 389-4303 or visit wiregrass.edu.
