Mrs. Rheba Frances Worth Dale, age 70, of Broxton passed away Friday evening, April 24, 2015, at the Coffee Regional Medical Center, following a short illness. She was born September 14, 1944, to the late Alton Worth and the late Ilene Hand Worth.
Mrs. Dale, a native of Douglas, was a homemaker. She enjoyed being part of a Quilting Group, as well as gardening, fishing, caring for her chickens, and cooking for her family. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, John Alton Dale. Mrs. Dale was a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include: 2 Sons: Carroll (Chillie) Dale, and Lamar (Tammy) Dale,, all of West Green, Ga.; 6 Grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren. Siblings: Buddy Worth, Shirley Powell, and Peggy Giddens, all of Douglas, Ga. ; Jean Stroud of Naylor, Ga, Tammy Ragan, and David Worth, both of West Green, Ga.; and Dianne Burkhalter of Hazlehurst, Ga. Services were held Monday, April 27, 2015, at 2:00 P. M., at the Providence Baptist Church, with Rev. Donnie Kirkland, and Rev. Justin Moriarty officiating. Interment followed in the Providence Cemetery, with Rev. Kevin Bounds presenting the Committal Services. Active Pallbearers were: Blake Hersey, Jason Stroud, Gary Moore, Drew Moore, Shawn Spivey, Brett Meeks, Ken Worth, and Joey Knight. Honorary Pallbearers were: Jean Adams, Ann Register, Mary Jo Smith, Pat Langdale, Pauline Spann, Shirley Trowell, Mary Lee Crozier, Louise Griffin, and Jackie Clay. Special Musical Selections, “Amazing Grace”, and “Mansion Just Over The Hilltop”, were presented by the Providence Baptist Church Choir, with Darlene Minchew, at the Piano. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were rendered by the Pianist, Darlene Minchew.
