The South Georgia Outdoor Expo will be held at Central Square Complex in downtown Douglas, August 21, 2015 from 1 to 7 p.m. and August 22, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Vendors and sponsors are being sought to fill both exhibit halls inside Central Square Complex and the outside grounds as well. Spaces with items relating to outdoor apparel, hunting gear, ATVs, boats, hunting/camping trips, fishing accessories, and more specialty outdoor merchandise are available at the Expo.

The Wild Game Supper will kick-off the event on Thursday, August 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the CE Weir Center.  Attendees will enjoy a catered meal by Gopher Plantation.

This year’s s pecial guest speaker will be Dr. Griff Lindsey, local dentist and falconer.

Tickets for the Wild Game Supper are on sale now at the public information office located at 211 S. Gaskin Avenue.

“We are looking for exhibitors with a specialty related to hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities,” says Georgia Henderson, Public Information Director.  “It takes great exhibitors and sponsors to be able to grow this event each year as well as attract a large attendance.  As in the past, we want to offer a variety of exhibitors, educational opportunities, great food, and fun activities for all ages.”

Attendees are guaranteed a two-day event that is packed with live demonstrations, hands-on activities, celebrity appearances, and fun for the entire family.  Already scheduled for celebrity guest appearances at the Expo are Skipper Bivins from Animal Planet’s hit show, “Hillbilly Handfishin,” and The Dreadknots Clint Roberts aka “Captain Clint” and Reverend Dave Stone aka “The Kraken”  from the History Channel’s hit show, “Ax Men”.

A full list of events and exhibitors can be found on our webpage www.cityofdouglas.com/SGOE.

If you are interested in volunteering, sponsorship, or exhibit space, please contact the public information department at (912)383-0277.  For more information, about the South Georgia Outdoor Expo, go to www.CityofDouglas.com/SGOE.
