Douglas police are seeking assistance from the public in their attempts to identify the person or persons responsible for the Mother’s Day shooting at Roundtree Park.

Last Sunday, officers responded to the 800 block of S. Gaskin Ave. in reference to an individual with multiple gunshot wounds. When they arrived, authorities discovered 29-year-old Kentorri Lamar Strozier collapsed in a yard at 806 S. Gaskin Ave.

EMS arrived on scene, stabilized, and transported Strozier to Coffee Regional Medical Center, where he remains recovering from his injuries.

The initial investigation showed that Strozier had been shot multiple times in the back and arm at Roundtree Park. After being shot, Strozier ran from the park before collapsing.

Police say their investigation also indicates there were other people present at the time of the incident but, as of this time, no one has come forward with any information.

Anyone with any information that would assist in locating the individual(s) responsible is asked to contact the Douglas Police Dept. at (912) 384-2222 or the Tips Line at 912-260-3600. Information can also be shared on the Department’s Facebook page.
