Registration for the 2015-16 school year is ongoing at First Academy for one-year-olds through sixth grade.  Some classes have filled with waiting lists, but there are still openings in most classes.

First Baptist Church recently approved for First Academy to add additional grades through the 12th grade in a conservative, methodical, and gradual manner.

“It is exciting news knowing that First Academy will be adding a middle school and high school in the years to come,” said Doug Wasden, headmaster of First Academy.   “It is important for parents to know that First Academy will be here beyond the sixth grade,” Wasden added.

There is a lot of work to be done now, but there is excitement and enthusiasm as the school grows and expands.

First Academy will continue to offer the quality program that has already been established and carry that forth into the upper grades.  Wasden stated that First Academy is another quality educational option as parents make the best decision for their child and family in Coffee County.

“I’ve been very impressed with the public and private schools in this area,” Wasden said, “and First Academy is not in competition with them. We are just an alternative.”

Wasden emphasized that First Academy’s mission is to partner with parents to provide a Christ-centered, academically challenging education as they develop disciples for Christ.
