Mrs. Sara Nell Minix Cumbass, age 78, of Douglas passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born June 25, 1936 to the late Emmitt Minix and the late Mattie Mae Stevens Minix.
Survivors Include: Her Husband of 61Years: Owen Cumbass of Douglas, GA., 2 Sons: James Cumbass of Douglas, GA., Daryl (Judy) Cumbass of Pearson, GA., 1 Sister: Betty Russell Frier of Douglas, GA., 1 Daughter-In-Law and Caregiver: Marsha Cumbass of Douglas, GA., 1 Grandson: Michael (Holly) Cumbass of Douglas, GA., 2 Great Grandchildren: Chasity Cumbass and Adalynn Cumbass both of Douglas, GA., Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Other Relatives.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 15, 2015, at 11:00 A. M. at Salem Holiness Baptist Church, with the interment to follow in the Salem Cemetery. Mrs. Cumbass will be placed in the church at 10:00 A.M., to lie in state until the funeral hour. The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M., at Ricketson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Holiness Baptist Campground.
