Aubrey McKinnon, age 90, of West Green, GA passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. McKinnon was born on August 15, 1924, in Douglas, GA to the late Jesse Brian McKinnon and Fannie Melvin McKinnon.

Mr. McKinnon was a avid farmer in West Green, GA. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Douglas and Burkett Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his two sons, Randy (Janice) McKinnon of West Green, GA and Randall (Vicki) McKinnon of Douglas, GA; daughter, Sabrina (Dennis) Chambers of Lake City, FL; two grandsons, John McKinnon of West Green, GA and Britt (Donna) McKinnon of West Green, GA; granddaughter, Jessica McKinnon of Savannah, GA; brother, Carlos “Red” McKinnon of Douglas, GA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen McKinnon. He was preceded in death by a brother, Oswald “Sarge” McKinnon; and a sister, Ovelene Maine.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Burkett Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Burkett Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
