Get ready to cool off this summer with the annual Summer Beach Bash on June 2. The Beach Bash will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. in the vacant lot adjacent to city hall on 441 S. in downtown Douglas.

With activities planned for all ages, this is sure to be one of the best beach parties away from the beach.

“We are hoping to attract more visitors to the downtown area,” says Pattie Merritt, Main Street Coordinator.  “This year is going to be lots of fun for everyone who visits downtown!”

Outdoor vendors will be selling items related to food, novelty, inflatables, and specialty merchandise. Kid activities will include large waterslides, bouncy house, hoola hoop contest, Passport to Play hunt, character appearances by Mickey, Minnie, Dora and Hello Kitty, a street dance, and more.

This year’s event is sponsored by City of Douglas Main Street, McRae Coca-Cola, 93.5 The Eagle, Shine 101.9, and Lucy Lu’s Boutique.

For more information, please contact PattieMerritt at (912)384-5161 or visit www.cityofdouglas.com/BeachBash.
