Mrs. Mary Alice Maulden Browning, age 78, of Douglas, passed away Monday morning May 18, 2015 at the Shady Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. She was born July 2, 1936 to the late Carroll Maulden and the late Minnie Lee Purvis Maulden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Edward Browning, 1 son, Billy Ray Browning, 1 Brother, Beach Maulden and 1 Sister, Carolee Newham.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Carol (Tony) Bailey and Jane Browning both of Douglas, GA; 2 Sons: Jim Browning of Atlanta, GA; Donald Browning of Douglas, GA; 4 Grandchildren: Neal Tony Bailey, II of Cleveland, TN; Amanda Lee Kirkland, Alison Adcock and Sara Elizabeth Browning of Douglas, GA; 2 Great Grandchildren: Brooklyn Kirkland and Hollie Kirkland both of Douglas, GA; 1 Uncle: T.M. (Cora) Purvis of Brunswick, GA Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, at 2:00 P. M. at the First Assembly of God, with the interment to follow in the Sandhill Cemetery. Mrs. Browning will be placed in the church at 1:00 P. M. to lie in state until the funeral hour. The family will begin receiving friends Tuesday evening, May 19, 2015, from 6:00 to 9:00 P. M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
