Satilla Regional Library will be holding the following programs during the month of June for children, tweens, and teens. Come and join the fun at Satilla Regional Library. Summer Reading Program

Monday, June 1-Thursday, July 23, 2015

Mark your calendars, the Summer reading program is being held Monday, June 1 through Thursday, July 23. Sign-ups are going on right now. Enter to win a college scholarship, as well, when you sign up. Ask any staff member for details.

Summer Reading Program Performers in June

Each performer will be visiting Douglas and Atkinson County every Wednesday in Douglas at 11:00 a.m. (except the week of June 29-July 2nd when we have Teddy Bear Picnics during Story and Craft times at each branch) and alternating between Pearson and Willacoochee locations at 2:30 p.m.

After our first performance on Wednesday, June 3, we will have a pizza party immediately following in the large meeting room in Douglas and the multi-purpose room in Pearson.

Teddy Bear Picnic Schedule for June and July:

Come to our teddy bear picnics at all branch locations during story and craft times and hear some great stories and have refreshments. Bring a teddy bear or other stuffed animal with you.

Douglas: Monday, June 29 at 3:30 p.m.

Broxton: Tuesday, June 30 at 3:30 p.m.

Ambrose: Tuesday, June 30 at 4:45 p.m.

Pearson: Wednesday, July at 3:30 p.m.

Willacoochee: Wednesday, July 1 at 4:45 p.m.

Nicholls: Thursday, July 2 at 3:30 p.m.

Story and Craft Program at all locations

Pearson and Willacoochee locations will alternate each week during Summer Reading Program. Pearson story and craft time will be at 4 p.m. instead of 3:30 p.m. during June and July.

Toddler Story time

Join us on Monday, June 29 from 10:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library in the Children’s Room for Toddler Story time.

Family Afternoon Movie in Douglas

Come and enjoy a family movie on our new wide screen television with your family in the large meeting room in Douglas. Popcorn and beverages will be served.

Family Afternoon Movies will be held Friday, June 12 and 26 at 1 p.m. at the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library.

Kids Choice Movies

Come and vote on a movie of choice.

Broxton: Monday, June 1, 8, 15, and 22 at 4:30 p.m.

Pearson: Saturday, June 6 at 12:30 p.m.

Willacoochee: Friday, June 5 and 19 at 3:30 p.m.

TEEN EVENTS

Teen Advisory Board Meeting at the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library
Saturday, June 6 from 10:30 a.m-11:30 a.m. in the large meeting room

Please come and join the fun as teens meet together to help plan young adult programming, help order young adult books for the library’s collection, play teen games, and lots of fun!!  Refreshments will be served.

Teen Heroes Movie Party
Saturday, June 20 from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the large meeting room at the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library

Come and enjoy your favorite superhero movies with other teens on our new television in Douglas. Refreshments will be served and prize drawing.

Teen Wii Gaming

Pearson: Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 4:30 p.m.
Willacoochee: Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 4:30 p.m.
