Beverly Ann Groover Rawlins, age 79, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Emory Midtown in Atlanta, GA following an extended illness. Mrs. Rawlins was born on September 24, 1936, in Atlanta, GA to the late Walton Lee Groover and Evelyn Doris Seagraves Groover.

Survivors include: her two sons, Lee (Tammy) Rawlins of Ambrose, GA and Scott (Jean) Rawlins of Douglas, GA; eight grandchildren, Walton Shelby Rawlins, Heather Nicole McCloud, David Robinson, Nikki Robinson, Faith Ann McKinney-Rawlins, Jason Heath, Jessica Marsh, and Brian Powell; great grandchild, Levi Chase McCloud; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoke Rawlins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Deberry Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Bedingfield and Rev. Jeremy Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Deberry Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
