Mrs. Lily Sue Ammons Burch, age 67, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Burch was born on May 10, 1948 in Eastman, GA to the late Henry Clay Ammons and Vernell Fulford Ammons.

She is survived by her husband: Danny Burch of Douglas, GA, two daughters: Shanda Rollins and Lavonda Adkins both of Douglas, GA; two sons: John Thomas Griffin, Nicholls, Ga and Henry Clay Griffin, Douglas, GA; one brother: Bill Ammons, Abbeville, GA; three sisters: Sheree Rogers and Judy Cage both of Douglas, GA and Alene Seagraves of Fitzgerald, GA, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother: Jerry Ammons.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 11:30 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM, funeral service will be at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home, with the Rev. Levi Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
