A truck carrying a trailer full of clothing items was struck by a train Monday afternoon in Douglas.

According to officials, the vehicle became stuck on the train tracks at Lupo Lane around 3 p.m. today when the collision occurred. Witnesses stated that the landing gear on the trailer hung on the railroad crossing. The drive exited the truck safely and was not in the vehicle when the collision occurred. Authorities stated no one was injured as a result of the accident.
